The workplace is not a setting traditionally associated with authentic, open vulnerability. We are often taught to hold parts of ourselves back for the sake of professionalism and exhibiting strength. But what if embracing vulnerability actually helps us redefine and expand what professionalism and strength means and can do for a team? In this workshop, experienced facilitators work with teams to move through an exercise that delves deeper into team members’ backgrounds, motivations and core values using the art of storytelling. Working off of this exercise, we then reflect on its impact and delve deeply into the power of productive vulnerability in the workplace. One of our most interactive and creative workshops, especially in person, this workshop has often left teams feeling more connected, noting key commonalities and bonds amongst one another that they would have never otherwise known about.
