Objective: Encourage meaningful connections and mutual understanding through activities that accommodate varying communication styles, allowing both introverts and extroverts to engage comfortably.
Sample Agenda:
Gentle Icebreaker: “What’s One Word?”
Start with a calm, low-pressure activity. Each participant shares one word that describes their current mood or focus. This encourages thoughtful reflection and helps ease people into conversation without the need for lengthy personal sharing.Guided Reflection Pairs: “Getting to Know You”
Participants are paired for quiet, one-on-one conversations. Each pair is given a set of reflective, open-ended questions (e.g., "What’s a challenge you're proud of overcoming?" or "What motivates you in your work?"). The slower pace allows for deeper conversations in a more intimate setting, without the pressure of performing in front of a large group. Pairs can take breaks between conversations to absorb and reflect on the discussion.Small Group Activity: Collaborative Visioning
Participants break into small groups of 4-5 people. Each group is given a simple but thoughtful task, such as collectively imagining the "ideal workplace culture" or brainstorming "the future of team collaboration." This encourages shared reflection and creative thinking, without putting anyone on the spot. Participants can choose to speak or contribute ideas on a shared board or in writing if they prefer less direct engagement.Quiet Time: Solo Reflection & Writing Exercise
In this peaceful segment, participants are given time to individually reflect on what they’ve learned or appreciated so far. They can write down their thoughts or respond to prompts such as “What have I learned about my team today?” or “How can I apply what I’ve learned to my role?” This allows everyone, particularly introverts, the space to process their thoughts before sharing.Optional Shareback & Close
Those who feel comfortable are invited to share their reflections with the larger group, either verbally or by reading their written responses. Close with a thoughtful recap, offering the option to continue conversations informally afterward without any pressure to participate further.
